Meet The Team Boarding Kennels & Cattery

Kelly H Manager

Hello, my name is Kelly and I am the manager of Green Lane Farm Kennels and Cattery.

I first started my journey with the kennels back in July 1996 as a kennel hand and worked my way up to manager by 2003. I adore my job and feel very lucky to have such an amazing team by my side. We have fantastic clients and we cherish their pets as our own. We also welcome a lot of dogs into our home from local rescue charities and everyone does an amazing job at turning these poor pups’ lives around. We have a lot of fun and laughter here, even though the day-to-day tasks are both mentally and physically challenging, it is always made easier by the gorgeous, furry faces. There is also the downside, which is when our beloved fur babies have to cross that rainbow bridge. We are also very welcoming of our small, fluffy and feathery friends. The more the merrier!

The work we do is very rewarding and to be honest, I could not see myself doing anything else. It is my life!

On my days off (when there is such a thing), I spend the time looking after my own pets and my two children. I have a great passion for anything animal related and this is most definitely rubbing off on my children!

We are a very busy kennels and cattery but we will always take time to go that extra mile. We look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!

Sheila Office assistant / relief manager / collection and delivery service driver

Hi, my name is Sheila. I work in the office and assist with the collections and deliveries of pets, as well as occasional help in the cattery. I have worked at Green Lane Farm since 1963 where I was mainly within the kennel and cattery department.

My hobbies are my two Border Collies, TJ and Jackson, who both do agility. TJ is now semi-retired (as I am), but he still enjoys his agility, and Jackson is doing very well in agility at grade 3.

Kelly E Office assistant

Hi, I’m Kelly and I am the office assistant at Green Lane Kennels. I have worked here for 10 years – it’s a great job! I enjoy meeting new clients, but most of all I look forward to meeting their pets. I have pets of my own which include two dogs, both are rescues, and a tortoise. I really enjoy spending time with my family when I’m not working, and my hobbies include reading, watching movies and anything horror/supernatural related.

Katie Cattery supervisor / animal department team leader

Hi, I’m Katie and I have worked at Green Lane Farm Kennels and Cattery since May 2013. I work in both the kennel and cattery departments, but you will mainly see me within the cattery. I have a distinction star in the level 2 animal care diploma which I studied at Nescot College.

As shown in my photo, I have 2 budgerigars called Skylar and Freckles as my pets, both of which I enjoy training as a hobby.

I have also completed work experience in a pet shop and on a city farm, and have worked with all sorts of animals, including domestic, exotic and farm animals; I have grown up with animals all my life and would never be without one. I love my job, knowing every day is different and I get to meet lots of new animal faces everyday, as well as welcoming back regular customers for their stay with us!

Nikki Kennels and cattery assistant / animal department team leader / collection and delivery service driver / animal first aider

Hi! I’m Nikki and I’ve worked at Green Lane Kennels and Cattery since May 2015, but was previously a customer for a few years before joining the team.

Prior to working here, I owned a hair and beauty salon where I worked as a beautician. I decided to give it up and complete a dog grooming course to enable me to follow my passion of working with dogs.

As you can see from my photo, I have a few fur babies of my own, which make me smile every day. I absolutely love my job here looking after the boarders and rescue dogs, and I look forward to welcoming and caring for your fur babies with lots of love, snugs and fun whilst they are on their holiday with us.

Alice Kennels & cattery assistant

My name is Alice. Whilst studying animal care at college, I came to Green Lane Farm earlier this year on a work placement. Following this, I was offered a seasonal job and have been here ever since, now as a permanent member of staff.

I am mainly in the kennels and I really enjoy looking after the boarders and rescues – I mean, who doesn’t like cuddling dogs as a job! My partner and I even ended up re-homing a rescue (my dog and him adore each other), but if I had it my way I would have every single dog that enters our kennels.

I hope to be working here for a very long time and I can’t wait to meet more of our customers and their pets.

Amy M Kennels & cattery assistant

Hi, my name is Amy. I have been working at Green Lane Farm since February 2015 after I completed my work experience placement here, and was lucky enough to be offered a part time job after! I now work here full time after I achieved a level 2 diploma in animal care which I studied at Nescot College.

I have wanted to work with animals from a young age and have always had pets – mainly dogs – growing up. At home, I have a Labrador called Max and I adore him.

I mainly work in the animal department looking after the rescues and boarders, where every day is different but equally as fun. I love spending time with the dogs, getting to know them, caring for them and making sure their stay with us is enjoyable and fun-filled. I hope to see you and your pets soon.

Amy H Cattery & kennels assistant

My name is Amy and I have worked at Green Lane since 2014. I am completing a level 2 animal care course at Nescot College and have completed my A levels. I am hoping to become a veterinary surgeon.

I also volunteer at a stables and a children’s farm and love learning about the animals I work with!

Ria Kennels & cattery assistant

Hi, I’m Ria and I’ve worked at Green Lane since mid 2015.

It’s a special place for me on a very personal level. I not only have a home here, I also have a wonderful family of teammates and all the animals visiting us. I love how rewarding our work is and I especially take great pride in being part of a team responsible for transforming the miserable life of a rescue dog into a happy one.

I’m at my happiest when I’m with the animals and I never want to leave!

Keira Cattery & kennels assistant

Hello, my name is Keira and I have been working at Green Lane since summer 2015. I have been very interested in working within the animal industry all my life and have completed my 3 years of animal management at college. I have had so many experiences, especially working with cats and dogs in other kennels and farms as well.

I would love to achieve my goal which is working for the RSPCA animal rescue, but for now I am achieving and learning each day at Green Lane and I couldn’t be happier.
