Meet The Team Boarding Kennels
Hi, my name is Phoebe and I have been working at Green Lane since December 2019 after loving my work experience placement and going on to being offered a part-time/seasonal job.
I have grown up with animals and have always wanted to work with them. At the moment I have a French Bulldog called Hollywood and a British Bulldog called Harper and they both love their holidays at the kennels. They always come home happy and healthy. I also have three giant tortoises.
I have a level 2 health and safety certificate and have gone on to study me A levels.
In my spare time I love to shop, and I love baking cakes for birthdays and events.
I have lots of experience with all kinds of animals and love spending time with all of the pets that stay with us, making sure they feel at home during their stay.
I look forward to seeing you and your pets soon!
Hello, my name is Jessie.
I am a part-time/seasonal worker at Green Lane Farm kennels. I have been here for 2 years now and I have loved every minute of being here.
I love meeting all the pets that come here and making them feel loved, at home and relaxed.
In my spare time I love to play football. I also love spending time with my family as much as I can. I have two tortoises called Bruno and Colin and two dogs called Lola and Annie.
My sister Keira also works here at the kennels and I have made such amazing friends.
Hi, my name is Charnie and I am the daughter of Kelly H (manager).
I have been assisting in the kennels part time and seasonal for a year now. I also helped my mum look after the dogs through lockdown. I enjoy working at the kennels as it has been a part of my life since I was born. I love seeing all the animals that come and stay with us, especially those that like a game of football!
My hobbies are listening to music, dogs (of course), meeting with my friends, playing football and other sports and I have recently begun studying art, photography, sociology, and psychology.
Hi, I am Georgina
I have worked for Green Lane full-time for 2 years, previously seasonal for the last 10 years. I’ve worked in all areas with the dogs, cats and small pets.
My journey started in 2010 when I completed work experience and my love for dogs and cats grew from there.
I have two pets of my own, a cat called MJ and a new addition, a tortoise called Teeny.
Kelly H Manager
Hello, my name is Kelly and I am the manager of Green Lane Farm Kennels and Cattery.
I first started my journey with the kennels back in July 1996 as a kennel hand and worked my way up to manager by 2003. I adore my job and feel very lucky to have such an amazing team by my side. We have fantastic clients and we cherish their pets as our own. We also welcome a lot of dogs into our home from local rescue charities and everyone does an amazing job at turning these poor pups’ lives around. We have a lot of fun and laughter here, even though the day-to-day tasks are both mentally and physically challenging, it is always made easier by the gorgeous, furry faces. There is also the downside, which is when our beloved fur babies have to cross that rainbow bridge. We are also very welcoming of our small, fluffy and feathery friends. The more the merrier!
The work we do is very rewarding and to be honest, I could not see myself doing anything else. It is my life!
On my days off (when there is such a thing), I spend the time looking after my own pets and my two children. I have a great passion for anything animal related and this is most definitely rubbing off on my children!
We are a very busy kennels and cattery but we will always take time to go that extra mile. We look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
Kelly E Office assistant
Hi, I’m Kelly and I am the office assistant at Green Lane Kennels. I have worked here for 10 years – it’s a great job! I enjoy meeting new clients, but most of all I look forward to meeting their pets. I have pets of my own which include two dogs, both are rescues, and a tortoise. I really enjoy spending time with my family when I’m not working, and my hobbies include reading, watching movies and anything horror/supernatural related.
Amy M Kennels & cattery assistant
Hi, my name is Amy. I have been working at Green Lane Farm since February 2015 after I completed my work experience placement here, and was lucky enough to be offered a part time job after! I now work here full time after I achieved a level 2 diploma in animal care which I studied at Nescot College.
I have wanted to work with animals from a young age and have always had pets – mainly dogs – growing up. At home, I have a Labrador called Max and I adore him.
I mainly work in the animal department looking after the rescues and boarders, where every day is different but equally as fun. I love spending time with the dogs, getting to know them, caring for them and making sure their stay with us is enjoyable and fun-filled. I hope to see you and your pets soon.
Keira Cattery & kennels assistant
Hello, my name is Keira and I have been working at Green Lane since summer 2015. I have been very interested in working within the animal industry all my life and have completed my 3 years of animal management at college. I have had so many experiences, especially working with cats and dogs in other kennels and farms as well.
I would love to achieve my goal which is working for the RSPCA animal rescue, but for now I am achieving and learning each day at Green Lane and I couldn’t be happier.
